Norra means bright

The root is nur. It's Arabic for light, and it travels well. Noor in Persian and Urdu. Nour across North Africa. It comes through Latin and Italian and Irish as Nora. Different alphabets, different centuries, same idea carried intact the whole way.

We liked that a word for brightness had survived that many borders without anyone bending it into something else. It felt like the right thing to name a company after.

There was also a boring reason, and we may as well admit it. We wanted a name that didn't tell you what was in the bottle. Brands that name themselves after their first product spend the rest of their lives stuck with it. Nobody wants to buy sleep drops from a company called ToothGuard.

What we actually believe

Most routines are half a routine. This is the thing that started the company. Look at your bathroom shelf. Toothbrush, floss, mouthwash, whitening strips, maybe a water flosser you were excited about for two weeks. Every one of them removes something. Not one of them puts anything back.

That pattern repeats everywhere in this category. Cleansers strip. Detoxes purge. Scrubs scrub. An entire industry built on subtraction, and then everyone is confused about why the problem comes back.

The label should be the whole argument. If a product needs a paragraph of mystique to justify itself, the formula is doing the talking wrong. Every Norra label tells you what is in it, how much, and what it does. Read ours. There is nothing hiding in a proprietary blend.

Daily beats dramatic. Nothing we make is a reset, a cleanse, or a protocol. One thing, once a day, for a long time. That is less exciting and it is what actually works.

On the products themselves

We do not put anything in a bottle because it sounds impressive on a label.

Our Oral Probiotic Chews carry three named strains: Lactobacillus salivarius LS97, Lactobacillus paracasei LC86, and Lactobacillus acidophilus LA85. Not "a proprietary probiotic complex". The actual strains, with their actual identifiers, which you are welcome to go and look up.

We chose those three because they were studied together, as a group, in a chewable tablet, taken once daily. That is the same form and the same schedule you are taking them in. Most supplements borrow credibility from a study run on a different dose, a different delivery method, and a different combination of ingredients. We think that is a bit of a cheat.

Four billion live cultures per chew. Microcrystalline hydroxyapatite, which is the mineral teeth are made of. Xylitol instead of sugar, because sweetening an oral health product with sugar would be an interesting choice.

Everything is made in the United States in an FDA-registered facility operating under current Good Manufacturing Practice. Every batch is third-party tested for purity and potency before it goes anywhere near a bottle.
